Meet Tom Shanley

With over 40 years of leadership across the Mercedes-Benz brand, Tom brings unmatched experience, insight, and passion to his role at Mercedes-Benz of Laguna Niguel. His career is a masterclass in excellence – starting as a technician in New Jersey to leading Mercedes-Benz of Manhattan, the brand’s only U.S. factory-owned store, to eight consecutive #1 national sales titles and receiving multiple Best-of-the-Best Dealer Awards from Mercedes-Benz USA.

Earlier in his career, Tom introduced Mercedes-Benz to the PGA Tour through his event marketing firm, laying the foundation for the brand’s iconic professional golf sponsorships and nationwide Dealer Championships Program. This landmark program led to over $30 million raised for charity.

Tom is more than an operator – he’s a culture architect. He’s known for building high-performing teams and crafting seamless, high-touch luxury experiences that leave lasting impressions. Backed by formal business training including an MBA in Finance from Long Island University, a BS in Marketing Management from Dominican University, and advanced leadership credentials from the NADA General Manager Executive Program—Tom brings a rare blend of hands-on experience and strategic insight to every level of the organization.

Now, as he takes the helm at Mercedes-Benz of Laguna Niguel, Tom is focused on delivering a dealership experience that reflects the values of the community we serve: luxury, trust, and relentless excellence.
