Automotive Service Technicians and Lube Express Technicians

We are currently seeking all levels of automotive technicians for our innovative Mercedes-Benz of Laguna Service Department. The candidate must be a highly motivated, self-starter and be ready to take on the challenge of providing our customers with the highest level of service. They must demonstrate the ability to provide the greatest experience levels of automotive technical support that is the key to success. These positions will require the ability to perform at various levels of skills in diagnosing, testing, and performing complete repairs on all types of vehicles. The candidate must be willing to demonstrate behaviors consistent with the company’s expectations as it pertains to interactions to all customers and co-workers.

Lube Technician

Primary Duties:

  • Ensure maximum productivity, customer service and cost control.
  • Perform all lube, oil, filter and multi-point inspection processes to ensure proper diagnoses.
  • Assess any supplemental vehicle needs.
  • Perform quality service at all times and notify management of any substandard processes, parts or procedures.
  • Maintain clean vehicles during all servicing and repairs.
  • Achieve customer service satisfaction through prompt and accurate service and communication.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times and adhere to all OSHA/EPA requirements.
  • Perform all job duties requested by management.
  • Demand the highest ethical standards from self and others.

Job Qualifications:

  • One year experience as a technician’s assistant or apprentice.

Physical Requirements

  • Work performed in shop setting
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions precedent at that time.
  • Exposure to shop environment such as noise, dust, odors and fumes, chemicals and adhesives.
  • Required to lift heavy items.

Job Duties Include

  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies *Have a complete knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair to include, but not limited to the following;
    • Perform quality vehicle test drives

Mercedes-Benz of Laguna Niguel is seeking a Mercedes-Benz Brand Specialist who is responsible for creating a world-class customer experience to every client that walks into the dealership. The Mercedes-Benz Specialist will interact with hundreds of customers to help guide them in their vehicle purchase in our no-haggle sales environment. With your enthusiastic and energetic personality, you will not only show customers which Mercedes-Benz they should buy, but WHY they should buy a Mercedes-Benz by providing dealership tours and brand presentations that explain the history and engineering behind each and every Mercedes-Benz vehicle. The purpose of this role is to not sell to our clients, but rather educate them on the overall brand, various safety features, and dealership benefits that come along with buying a vehicle from MBLN. The Mercedes-Benz Brand Specialist is responsible for providing an enjoyable, entertaining and educating experience to each and every customer, and to provide as much direction as possible to discovering which Mercedes-Benz model is most suitable for their needs.

NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. We will provide training and additional coaching and tools to help you succeed in this role. This full time position requires 40 hours of work per week, and the hours are flexible. Must be able to work occasional weekends each month. This is not a commission-based position. The Mercedes-Benz Brand Specialist will have a set hourly salary with potential to obtain additional monthly bonuses.

The ideal candidate would be someone who enjoys spending time and talking to people and has high levels of enthusiasm and energy. Excellent communication skills is a must! Must be professional and entertaining when educating and touring our customers in and around the dealership. Must be well dressed and presentable to clients.

Job Deliverables

  • Assist customers in appropriate vehicle selection – be the Product Expert!
  • Understand buyer’s requirements and interests; Find matching vehicle requirements by interviewing and building rapport.
  • Provide an exceptional presentation of the Mercedes-Benz brand, entire dealership, and demonstration of the vehicle
  • Take customers on test drives
  • Follow-up with existing customers to confirm satisfaction and ask for referrals
  • Create walkaround videos of certain vehicles to send to potential customers
  • Hold yourself and others to high moral and ethical standards and conduct yourself with highest honesty and integrity
