Mercedes-Benz electric vehicles are now compatible with Tesla’s expansive Supercharger network, thanks to the adoption of the North American Charging Standard (NACS). Starting in 2025, new Mercedes-EQ models sold in North America will come equipped with NACS ports, allowing seamless access to over 12,000 Tesla Superchargers across the continent. For current Mercedes-Benz EV drivers, an adapter will be made available in 2024, enabling existing models with the CCS port to charge at Tesla stations. Mercedes-Benz Wallbox Charger: Charge Rates

Aliso Viejo drivers rejoice! With the Mercedes-Benz Wallbox charger, you can readily charge your Mercedes-Benz EV at home. While Level 1 charging uses a standard 120V household outlet and is quite slow, the new Mercedes-Benz EV charger operates at 240V or Level 2 and can output 11.5 kW. This is approximately 8 times faster than the 1.9 kW output a home outlet can manage. 

Here are the Mercedes-Benz EV charging rates you can expect for both levels, where Level 2 charging is provided through the new Mercedes-Benz Wallbox charger: 

• Level 1 (120V, 1,9 kW): 2-4 miles per 1 hour of charge
• Level 2 (240V, 11.9 kW): Up to 30 miles per 1 hour of charge

Keep in mind that you also have access to thousands of public charging stations across the United States. While the cost of installation and the amount of electricity used makes such Level 3 chargers impractical for home use, they are the fastest charging option available today. Level 3 DC Fast Charging outputs up to 400 kW, and can charge your Mercedes-Benz EV from 10% to 80% in about 30 minutes.
