The 2027 Mercedes-AMG® GLE 63 S has been announced, bringing an extensively updated expression of AMG® SUV performance to drivers who expect power, precision, comfort, and everyday versatility. Arriving at U.S. retailers in fall 2026, the latest AMG® GLE 63 S features a comprehensively revised AMG® 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine, advanced mild-hybrid technology, a more assertive AMG® front design, and expanded personalization through MANUFAKTUR.

For performance-focused drivers near Laguna Niguel, Dana Point, San Clemente, and Aliso Viejo, the 2027 Mercedes-AMG® GLE 63 S represents the next chapter of AMG® SUV capability at Mercedes-Benz of Laguna Niguel.

Revised AMG® V8 Performance

At the heart of the 2027 Mercedes-AMG® GLE 63 S is the updated AMG® M177 EVO engine. This AMG® 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine produces 603 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque, with peak torque available from 2,500 to 4,500 rpm. Engine updates include a new flat-plane crankshaft, revised intake camshaft, optimized fuel injection system, updated intake and exhaust ports, and advanced exhaust aftertreatment.

The result is a commanding AMG® SUV engineered for sharp response, confident acceleration, and a refined performance character. The 2027 Mercedes-AMG® GLE 63 S accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds and reaches an electronically limited top speed of 174 mph.

ISG 2.0 Mild-Hybrid Support

The updated AMG® V8 is paired with a new generation Integrated Starter Generator, known as ISG 2.0, and an additional 48-volt electrical system. The system supports power delivery at lower engine speeds with up to 23 horsepower and 151 lb-ft of torque, helping the 2027 Mercedes-AMG® GLE 63 S deliver highly responsive acceleration.

ISG 2.0 also supports energy recuperation during deceleration and contributes to smooth operation of the start/stop function, bringing modern efficiency technology to the AMG® performance experience.

New AMG® Performance Exhaust System

The 2027 Mercedes-AMG® GLE 63 S also introduces a newly developed AMG® Performance exhaust system. Standard exhaust valve control allows the driver to adjust the sound character through the AMG® DYNAMIC SELECT drive programs or the control on the center console.

From a subtle tone in Comfort mode to a more dynamic AMG® sound in Sport+ mode, the exhaust system adds to the emotional character of the AMG® GLE 63 S while adapting to the current driving situation.

Distinctive AMG® Exterior Design

The exterior of the 2027 Mercedes-AMG® GLE 63 S receives a fully redesigned front end with an AMG®-specific radiator grille, enlarged air intakes for V8 cooling, and LED headlamps with an exclusive AMG® light signature. Standard AMG® RIDE CONTROL+ air suspension with adaptive damping continuously adjusts to the driving situation. The system supports a firmer Sport setting for dynamic handling as well as a Comfort setting for more compliant ride quality. In the Trail drive program, ride height increases by 2.2 inches for off-road driving, while damping control, AMG® ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL, and AMG® Performance 4MATIC®+ are adapted to the surface.

AMG® ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL active roll stabilization helps reduce body roll in corners and supports precise, stable handling. Active electromechanical stabilizers with AMG®-specific control are fitted on both axles, with sensors analyzing driving conditions and road surface inputs up to 1,000 times per second.

AMG® Performance 4MATIC®+ and Locking Rear Differential

AMG® Performance 4MATIC®+ all-wheel drive with fully variable torque distribution helps the 2027 Mercedes-AMG® GLE 63 S deliver traction and confidence across a wide range of road conditions. The front and rear driveshafts are engineered for the high torque output of the updated AMG® V8 engine.

A standard electronically controlled AMG® locking rear differential further enhances agility by distributing power between the rear wheels when cornering.
